The Adapticom engineering group, had responsibility for new product development on several Net2Phone devices. Product development included electrical design, pcb design,
package design, BOM management and cost reduction, procurement of contract manufacturers, and manufacturing support.
The Net2Phone "dial up" VOIP
product
Loubia
was brought from design concept all the way to full manufacturing.
Subsequent itereations were created in the form of the
"Yap Jack Plus".
and the
"Yap Jack Pro".
Manufacturing support was provided to a broadand Net2Phone product, the
Aplio Pro broadband VOIP device.
"Microsoft Project" and other tools were used on all Net2Phone projects to manage scheduling dates, manpower, material procurement, manufacturing, and other gating factors. Custom web based
documentation archival systems were created to assist with documentation.
Adapticom provided initial component selection and costing to bring products to proper pricing thresholds, along with a continuing efforts to optimize BOM items and reduce
costs. RFQ packages were prepared and communciations maintained with tier I and tier II contract manufacturers.
